Simply Watercolor

Hi Blog Friends!
I thought today I would do a post for my dear friend, Kathy Racoosin.....
give her some support for her challenge.
A thirty day challenge is a BIG DEAL I think!
Do you remember, I told you about her coloring challenge in my last post?
Check here to find out more about her challenge:
So, here's what I did,
I pulled out my Prisma Water Color Pencils, I hadn't used in quite awhile
& kept things quite simple.
I used Penny Black- Sunny Pair for my image.
Quite fitting, in that the flowers are popping up here for Spring!
I used a Letraset Blender Marker with the Water Color Pencils, which worked perfectly in that I used regular old card stock.
Controlling the moisture is easier using a blender pen.
I added a simple boarder around the edge with my Score-Buddy.
Just a touch of Wink of Stella on the flowers centers.
I think these flowers are quite fitting, in that the flowers here are happily springing up!:)
I'm ready for the warmer weather & flowers, how about you?
Do jump in & play along?
Kathy has lots of prizes to give away too.
(This is day 14 today in her 30 day challenge.)
Off to do some Spring Cleaning!

My Advice & More!

Hi Blog Friends!

I have a packed post for you today!!!!
I see I've had a HUGE INCREASE in viewers as of the 26th!
I'm guessing it's because of what I said about the government taking over the Internet?
We'll have to watch & see what happens now...

My Advice?
Buy Books!
My Strong's Dictionary of Bible Words came the other day in the mail,
 it will go nicely with my Strong's Exhaustive Concordance that I already have;
& I have several more books coming too!
(You can figure out what kinds of things you normally look up,
& go from there on what books to order for yourself for general reference or study,
basically a "hard copy" for what you are looking for.)
We LOVE books here!
And be ready to give up the Internet!
To hold anything too tightly isn't good anyway, except Christ!
Be willing to give the Internet up or cut back drastically!
(Kind of hard for those trying to do business, I know! Be prepared!)

Get informed & stay informed & find a place where you can make your voice count!
I do have a card for you today---
I've been thinking about this one for awhile, for our daughter.
She called the other day, exasperated!
So much to do, so little time.
"But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength;
they shall mount up with wings as eagles." Isaiah 40:31
I just wanted to encourage her to "Keep Climbing!"
There is always peace at the feet of Jesus.

I used a sketch from SCS:
Here's my card:
I used ODB- Keep Climbing & On Eagle's Wings.
A close up of my image(s).
I used various Distress Markers for the mountain view, along with a water color brush.
I colored in the Eagle with Copic Markers & mounted him with Scotch Perm. Mounting Tape.
The inside.
With a matching envelope.

More  "Advice!"
I thought I'd share with you something that will help you in your Bible Studies too.
(Our kids helped me pick this out a few years back.)
Course, you can use this in Church too to find Scriptures quickly & easily;
you just have to get used to using it.
It's called the

You can find the NowBible on
Amazon here:

OH NO! In trying to find you more links, so you could get one of these for yourself, I have discovered, that the NowBibles are no longer being made! :(
But, never fear, there are other Electronic Bibles on the market & if you find any at Amazon you like....GRAB IT! LOL

Another place to find Electronic Bibles is Christian Book Distributors:

My Electronic Bible has audio of different well known people doing dramatic readings of the Word of God & it also has background music as the Scriptures are read, to make it more like you're sitting right in the middle of what is going on.
So, if you can find one with the dramatic reading audio, you'll LOVE IT!
It's a GREAT little gadget to help you find Scriptures quickly & easily & brings MUCH enjoyment to hearing the Word of God spoken!
If you want to build your faith in God, this can help!

"So faith comes from hearing, & hearing by the word of Christ."
Romans 10:17 (NAS)
