A Heart Turned Toward Home...

Hi Blog Friends!
I know it's been quiet heart has turned toward our home, rather than stamping lately;
 I have been quite busy!
Just some of what I've been doing....
1.) Spring Cleaning...more to be done, just trying to organize & straighten the whole house!
The basement is next- ICK!
2.) I found another good book & have been DEVOURING it! What is it called?
Predators In Our Pulpits, A Compelling Call to Follow Christ in These Perilous Times,
by W. Phillip Keller. WHAT A GREAT BOOK & SO APPROPRIATE for our times!
3.) I have been knocking myself out "finishing" a cabinet---it was part of my Mother's Day Gift from my hubby. I've been decorating the master bath & wanted a cabinet of some sort for towel storage. There are more things to do--new towel racks & I'm looking for a not too big that I can't carry it up & down stairs to the basement. I've got my eye out for  wall paper boarder too...
I'm decorating the bath in a Nautical Theme.
4.) A little baking & cooking....
5.) We moved our daughter home from college & moved her back out again for a summer job she took... I miss her already! :(
I finally got myself to sit down & make a card the other day....
I needed a Thank You card for our daughter.
A friend of mine sent her a little gift for her summer adventures......
For my card, I actually had something else in mind,
but remembered these dies I got for Christmas I hadn't used here's what I made:
I will be entering this in the SSS Monday Challenge here:
The challenge is to make a "Thank You" card! PERFECT! ;)
And the SSS Work It Wednesday Challenge here:
This challenge is for the month of May 2015!
They just want to see what you're working on.
So, I'm set for the challenges.
Here are some more pictures of my card!
This was a fun card to make & it made me feel all homey & warm.
I used Memory Box Grand Madison Window, Lacy Curtains & the Grand Flower Box,
all found at SSS!
I wanted you to see the scoring I did on the panel behind the window, made with my
Score-buddy....looks like siding & it reminds me of our first home...although,
we didn't have window boxes! LOL
This was the fun part, creating a little sun catcher....I punched out two small hearts of acetate with my SU-hand held punch, used alcohol markers & drew a small rose with leaves &  made a red border around the heart. Glued the two acetate pieces together with a glue dot & punched a small hole with a piercer & ran gold thread through it for hanging. It's a sun catcher, resembling the one hanging on our door that was made for us when my husband & I  got married, a treasured gift indeed!
My window box is filled with SU- Little Leaves & Provo Craft- Flowers, I added a Wink of Stella to the centers of the flowers & the butterflies.
Here's the inside of my card:
The "Thank You" is made from Provo Craft Dies, & the butterflies are SU- Beautiful Wings, all with a touch of Wink of Stella, also found at SSS.
So, what do you think?
As I said, I've been working on things for our home....just maybe soon I'll show you?
I still have to add two coats of  varnish to the chest....waiting for the weather to stay nice so I can do it on the porch. So far, the weather isn't cooperating, but I'm tickled with the results of my project!
Stay tuned!
Here is a song I found today that I thought you might also enjoy---
it will turn your heart toward our heavenly home!
