Make A Difference!

Hi Blog Friends!

I have a card for you today that I made for our daughter this summer!
She is away working with a small church on an Internship.
She is feeding the poor, working in a day camp, helping in a Laundromat-- helping pay for people's laundry, & learning skills that will help her in the future!
She wants to
Just what my card is titled.
I sent my card to her in encouragement.
Take a look!
I made her a Shaker Card!
Something FUN!

First, I found some paper that I could die cut with the right words.
The Designer Paper is by: Recollections- Everyday Moments.

I used Studio Katia Dies-Dotted Balloons.
By the way, Studio Katia Dies are so much fun to work with & are PERFECT for shaker cards!
(If I had it to do over I wouldn't have cut off the edge of the balloon, but let it continue to the edge of the card base. Ooops!)

I created the background using Distress Oxide Inks.
(Yes, they blend like a DREAM! I'm SO HAPPY I bought them!)

Here is a close-up of the saying on the balloons.
(I used some colored glitter inside, & if I did this again, I would not use the colored glitter either.
Can you tell I don't make too many of these shaker cards? LOL)
But, just think about the words on this card.....
"Make a Difference; How do you want to be remembered; Define Yourself; Leave a Legacy."

I used crochet thread for the strings of the balloons.

This is the inside of the card.
The verse is from: Poppy Stamps-Fairy Greetings
& I hand wrote the word "for," &
the stamp "Jesus" is from ODB- Words of Faith.

Our daughter was VERY SURPRISED & enjoyed receiving this card.
I think the encouragement came right when it was needed!
HOPE you like!

Remember, in WHATEVER you do to
