PSC#46- Birthday Party!

Hi Blog Friends!

I have a BIRTHDAY CARD for you today!

I am playing along with
PSC #46- Birthday Party
(Just squeaking in here! LOL I didn't want to miss this challenge!)
Found here:

My card is for a very special friend, who likes dogs.
I found this sweet image....
Old to some, I'm sure, but new to me.

I thought this sweet little face & puppy would make my friend happy-
Penny Black- The Bunch!

But, I needed it to POP!
So, I used the die I recently won from Poppy Stamps- Delicate Branch Collage Die,
& I turned it into a shaker card.

After coloring in my image with Dick Blick Colored Pencils, Paper Piecing this cuties over-hauls & scarf, I went over the entire image with a Faber Castell Pitt Pen.

I die cut several layers of the Delicate Branch Collage Die & adhered them together to get the depth I wanted for the shaker window.
I masked off the top layer edges & used my sponge dauber to apply Oxide Inks to the branches & leaves.
I also used the negative part of the die & sponged it with Oxide Inks too & spritzed it with Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist, & after dry placed the pieces into the, "well" of my shaker.
I added MS-Mica Flakes & SSS-Sequins for my shaker.

Lastly I put it all together.
I'm quite happy with how it came out!
I hope my friend will like it.

Hope you like it too!

I'm also entering my card in

As soon as you contact me Lynn, I will get your prize package out to you! ;)
I have been busy here, working on a Baby Gift....
Not sure if the baby is a boy or a girl, so I went with white..... ;)
You'll be seeing more of this later.
I have been also working on a card for
Make It Monday #329: Creating Stencils from Die Cuts
Found here:

This week the challenge was hosted by Melissa.

I used PTI-Shape Shifters: Oval 1 for my stencil.
And I used PTI- Stitching Garden Stamps & Dies, along with PTI- Round Off Edgers Dies,
& PTI- Noted: Scalloped A1 Die Collection.

I used my Misti & stamped my images with Distress Oxide Inks & matched up designer paper from Recollections- Wildflower Stack.

Here you can see the dimension.
And the center area is where I stenciled with Oxide Inks.

I did a bit of Embossing for the sentiment, in SU- Silver Emb. Powder, using PTI- Thank You Kindly; & some embossing along the bottom edge of the card, using a T- Ruler,
  & a Zig Embossing Pen.
Topping it off with Nuvo Crystal Drops. ;)
I am happy with how my card came out, what do you think?
HOPE you like!
All comments are welcome & appreciated!

Hi Blog Friends!

This is a packed post, so hang in there with me? ;)
It will make up for not posting last week, I'm sure!

After watching the movie,
I Can Only Imagine:
You can find the DVD here on Amazon:
WOW!!! If you haven't seen the movie, it is now available on DVD.
My daughter tells me it is the #1 Video in the Nation right now!

I was so moved & touched by the story.
It is all about Forgiveness
What our God is capable of doing,
changing people!

My daughter & I just finished up our study I told you about, shown to you in this post,
The movie was a PERFECT ENDING to our study!
Our daughter & I will be starting another study book from the same series by Kay Arthur,
before she ventures off to Grad School.
The studies are thorough, & I love the way Kay Arthur uses the Scriptures to interpret Scriptures.

Do you have any Summer Reading planned?
I do!
I'll share with you if you like.
Leave me a comment telling me whether or not you're interested in hearing about my summer reading.
(Now, I'm really committed, huh? LOL) ;)

Summer Bees & Blooms
I used the image-Stampendous- Cling Sketchy Blooms from my last post for this--
fussy cutting it out,
& popping it up on Scotch Perm. Mounting Tape.

I made my card using a die that was sent to me twice by Poppy Stamps----
I'd won it during a recent Blog Blitz, & they sent me two accidentally.
(They told me to keep the second die, so I thought someone here would love to have it!)
I think it goes very well with floral images!

The  Honeycomb Curve Die is a recently released die from Poppy Stamps- a $15 Value.
If you look closely, I used the negative parts of this die to extend the pattern some.
I also filled in some of the Honeycomb with Glossy Accents, Glitter & Nuvo Crystal Drops!

Answer my four questions....

& I'll send you some of my Homemade Dish Clothes that  I made last summer,
along with my extra Poppy Stamps- Honeycomb Curve Die, if your name is drawn!

You have until July 20th, 2018, 12:00 p.m. EST to leave your comments.
