Hi Blog Friends!

I'm here today with a
Batman Card for you!
I've noticed MANY LOVE when I do the Batman Cards,
& I have LOTS of traffic just to see them! ;)

So, I HOPE you like!
I did a
"Stage Scene Card"
for you.

You can check out the book I used found here:
To learn how to do this card, plus a load of other pop-up cards!
(Quite unique & fun!)

I will be entering my card in the
Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge Blog.
The challenge:
Anything Goes
Found here:

Now, for
This is the front, very basic & simple.
Made with a large Metalic Sticker.
I used Stampington's- AB Seas Alphabet Stamps &
SU- Calendar Alphabet & Numbers Stamps
to stamp my sentiment, with Versa Mark &
Stampendous- Sunny Yellow Pastel Embossing Powder.
I also sponged on some Oxide Ink in Mustard Seed for a glow.

For the front of this card, I added another card base to enclose the inside-
so, my card cames out larger than an A6 card,
which is what the book referred to above says this card would be---
The final card size is:
5 3/4" x 6 1/4".

Now take a look at the inside of my card:

This is the scene I created.
I used Bristol Smooth Paper for the sky, inking it up with
Oxide Inks- Stormy Sky, Faded Jeans & Black Soot,  spritzing,
& adding Gansai Tambi Starry Colors for stars.
Also masking off the light ray for the Bat signal & adding a sticker to it, & masking for the moon.
The buildings are by Sizzix- 661810 by Tim Holtz.

The Happy Birthday Sentiment is by PTI- Penned Elegance,
& the same embossing powder as the front, & a touch of Oxide Ink.

All Batman stickers are by Sandy Lion- DC Comics Craft Stickers.

Here you can see some of the dimension of my card.
The sky/Bristol Paper is connected to a base card, & around that is another card base, to hide the tabs that are glued to the first card base on the sides.
This card came out to be a very heavy card with all those layers!
If I had to mail it, it would probably be extra postage.

I discovered the powdery marks on the black... is it the Embossing Buddy? or the Oxide Inks?

So, to fix this since it wasn't wiping off,  I added some alcohol marker...
It looks a bit streaky in the photo, but not in real life.
(Make sure you keep your fingers clean when using Oxide Inks!) LOL
LOVE the dimension on this card!

I think the birthday boy will be pleased this year,
especially when it is accompanied with CAKE!

HOPE you like & check out the book I showed you if you like Pop-Up cards!

Thinking of You!

Hi Blog Friends!

Today, I am here for
Poppy Stamps Challenge:
 Found here:
I'm not quite ready for the fall season just yet & thought a nice summer scene was called for.
A time of sitting in a Poppy Stamps- Old Porch Chair,
I used Distress Oxide Ink on the chair to give it some depth.
I also used Memory Box-Taylor Party Dress for the vase--cutting off the top some & flipping it upside down to make my vase, & stamping PTI- Mini Booms on it in Oxide Inks.
Spritzing it with water gave a washed out look, but it also gave an aged look.
I curled the vase for shape & set it aside.
(It reminds me of an old vase my mother had.)

I used I.O.- Leaves & Stems, Tiny Flowers, & Leaf Cluster for the bouquet, & I.O.-Cats.

For the background, I used a Recollections-Stencil & Clarity Brushes, along with SU-Ink.
The flooring is made with PTI- In The Shadows Stamp & SU-Ink.
And the sentiment is by PTI- Ways to Say:Thinking of You.

Here is a close up for you!

HOPE you like!

I enjoyed making this card, as it gives a summer feel & a feeling of days gone by....
sitting on the porch in an old chair sipping iced tea & just listening to the bees buzz by.
Off to do that just now! ;)

Choose to.....

Hi Blog Friends!

I'm here with a card I made for our daughter, who is off to Graduate School.
Such a big change, a new school, new surroundings & new people!
Change is never easy for any of us!

I'm entering this card in
SSS- Wednesday Challenge- "Stamp It On."
Found here:

And also
SSS- Monday Challenge- "Stamp It On.
 Found here:

Both are for
SSS- Stamptember!

So, as when our daughter was an undergraduate,
I will be sending her cards of encouragement!
I decided to get messy today & just play to get the background I needed for my card.
I finally pulled out my Gel Press I got awhile back.
(My homemade one molded. It wasn't supposed to do that! ACK!)

So, here is my card,
Choose To....
(Sorry about the glare!)
Working on a craft mat to protect my surface,
I used Faber Castell- Mixed Media Stencils- 102 Collection, along with some FC- Texture Cards to create my own patterns in the acrylic paints.

 I used my Misti for perfect placement, & stamped with SSS- Black Premium Ink my sentiment, which is also by SSS-Uplifting Sentiments;

& that sweet little image of the little girl is by Dina Kowal, you can find her over at I.O.- E13539.

Just a simple card really.

For the inside, I used some Paper Studio- Washi Tape at the bottom,
 & a SSS-T-Ruler & Pencil-Pilot G-20 Mechanical Pencil.
I went over my pencil markings with a Faber Castell- Brush Pitt Artist Pen.
(Yep, I need to work on my writing, huh?)

I also made a matching envelope with my WRMK- Envelope Board.
Can you see the Dew Drops on my card? (3)
By Honey Bee- Dew Drops- Water Lily, as a final touch.

HOPE you like & remember to to
Trust in God, whatever it is that you might be going through.
