I'll Be Home For Christmas

Hi Blog Friends!

Are you ready for Christmas?
I'll be starting my Christmas Day meal preparations in a few days.
HOPEFULLY, our daughter will be well enough by Christmas to partake in the meal.
She came home sick & took a turn for the worst the other day.
She is slowly getting better.
I've been up a few nights with her, so I've been trying to catch up on my sleep,
to be ready for all the meal prepping.
The tree is up, but is lacking all of the decorations! LOL
HOPEFULLY, we'll get to that today.

So today, I have one more Christmas project for you.
My post is short & sweet!
I've named it,
"I'll Be Home For Christmas,"
 it tells a little story.

It's perfect for the Christmas Table---
 A Christmas Luminary.

The first side---
"Christmas Greetings."
Where the story begins.
Santa is on his way....
I used
 Spellbinders- Christmas Village Vignette Die,
from the November Amazing Paper Grace- Die of the Month Club!
Red card stock- (SU) on white to highlight this GORGEOUS die!
The Grafix- Vellum has little specks on it that glisten like little snowflakes!

The second side of the luminary in my story...
living in the city, maybe going to school/working,
everything snow covered, a little neighborhood......
All of the dies used are from the kit,
except for the tabbed portion--which comes from the Grand Cabinet Vignette,
& coordinates with this Die of the Month!
And, the only other die not from this kit is the snowflake in the lower left hand corner-
Its by Poppy Stamps- Callum Stitched Snowflake-cut from Best Occasions- Glitter Paper,
& I topped it off with Studio 18-Rhinestones.
This was the last embellishment I added.

The third side of my luminary-
Traveling through the snow, passing the woods, or an orchard on the way "home."
I added glitter for snow on all of the little scenes!
I used a combination of MS-Crystal Fine & SU- Dazzling Diamonds.
LOTS of SPARKLE!
I glued the little tabs together on the sides from the Grand Cabinet Vignette Die
 to create my luminary.
It folds flat for storage or mailing.

The last side of my luminary-
We've reached "home,"
in the country, where all of the family are gathered.....
Lots of snowy hills & trees, & everyone is snug inside of their family home together for Christmas,
maybe gathered around the tree with a fire in the fireplace & stockings hung, ready for Santa's visit.

I added small pearls by Kaiser- just on a part of the sides, along with those sweet little Holly Leaves from the kit,  & Nuvo Crystal Drops for the berries.

HOPE you like!
