Hi Blog Friends!

First, let me tell you,
I'll be entering my projects in the following challenges:

Here is the Scripture offered:

These are my first Shadow Boxes using Spellbinders 1"Shadow Box Die!
I wasn't sure how to get the right size for the little boxes I wanted, so I created a protege first.
I wanted a 5 1/2" x 4 1/4" size; so I used the measurements of the outer edges of the size Shadow Box I wanted. I created one & then saw how big it would be put together & how much space I would have on the inside too.

If you are affixing something inside like I did in this post:
Then, you start with the image & work your way out.
How much space do you want around that image? I wanted a boarder of so many inches & don't forget matting your image. Figure into that the one inch boarder (or whatever size frame you have) of the Shadow Box Dies & you will find out the size of your frame/shadow box.
Remember, you can make these Shadow Boxes any size you like, up to the size paper you have available!

So, this was my first time using the Shadow Box Dies & here is what I made with it!

This is the very first one I made.
I used the colors from the paper I chose for the frame itself---DCWV- Linen Closet Stack.
The Shadow Box Die is the 1" size.
The intricate lacey frame over the 1" edge is- SB- Callista Rectangle Shadowbox Frame, swiped with a Versa Mark Pad & embossed with Stampendous- Aged Taupe Emb. Powder.
The flowers are by SB- Cinch & Go IV & Cinch & Go III.
I used Faber Castell- Soft Pastels to color my flowers & leaves with Soft Applicators & sealed them with Tree House Studio- Clear Matte Coating Sealant.
And, I added Wilton Stamens for the centers.

The sentiment is from I.O.- OverComer- C13566.

Here is the second one I made:
This one done with Recollections- Everyday Moments Stack.
Everything else is pretty much the same.

Here are some photos for you.....

Here is the back of the first, using SB-Filigree Shadowbox Easel & Pocket Die, using the same coordinating paper.

So, which do you like better?
The Teal/Aqua & brown?
The Navy, Yellow & White?

To be an "Overcomer" is to live according to God's Word.
Forsaking the ways of the world,
maybe not doing what every one else is doing, & trust the Lord that you will do what HE would want; AND trusting that HE will give you the strength to walk/run or whatever is needed
to not follow after the ways of the world.
The world is very tempting with all that it offers, but the ways of the world don't last,
& lead to death & sorrow in the end.
The ways of the Lord lead to joy & life in the end.
Yes, we fail sometimes, but Christ is so willing to forgive us,
even when others look down their noses on us, & don't forgive our stumbling's.
We can still be "Overcomer's!"
There will always be another battle to be fought

I HOPE the ladies who receive these will find them encouraging
each time they glance at them sitting on the shelf or where ever they place them in their homes.
Just a little reminder, that whatever comes their way,

Sweet Friend Combo Gift

Hi Blog Friends!

Today I have a Gift Combo Set for you,
a card & a gift card holder!

Oh, I SO ENJOYED this one too!
Another food item! LOL

Take a look:
WHAT could be better for someones birthday???

I used:
Colorado Craft Company-BB246- Sweet Friend Cupcake on my card.
I did the same thing as my last post in creating the rainbow background,
I carried it on over to the gift card holder, by:
Waffle Flower-Coffee Cup Sentiments & Dies.
I used the Colorado Craft Company-BB247- Sweetest Birthday Cone
for the scoop of ice-cream on top.
(I'd had another card all made like the last I posted the Triple-Decker Ice Cream Cone,
& messed it up...
I was making two of them & to salvage just a bit of it, I cut off the top scoop & added it to the cup!)
I added Glossy Accents to the Strawberry & just a touch to the cream/icing- & sprinkled it with Glitter- MS-Crystal Fine & SU-Dazzling Diamonds.
The circle die is by Gina K- Fabulous Rose Frame Die Set, & I added Sequins- Red Lead-At The Ballet Craft Medley Creative Essentials, & Studio Katia- Pink Winter.

A closer look at the Gift Card Holder:
Just slip the inside out of the holder.
The gift card will slip right into the little slits & when they remove it,

Flipped over:
The "Happy Birthday" is from: Waffle Flower- Iris You- 271241.

The back of the gift card holder removed from the sleeve.
I don't know about you,
but when I first saw this gift card holder, I had to have it!
It is so easy to make & has that big bang effect,
in that YOU get to decorate it in any way you chose!
It's CUTE & just PERFECT for gift giving, Coffee Shop, Ice Cream Shop, Tea Shop, or just for fun.....! ;)

I think the birthday recipient will LOVE THESE!
By the time I post these, the recipient will have received her surprises! ;)

You're The Sweetest!

Hi Blog Friends!

Here today with a card that
It has water color, one of my all-time favorite mediums,
it is bright & festive,
& it's FOOD! LOL

There is just something about doing food in artwork!
I remember days of painting water melons & gourds in school....

Today, I have a cool treat for you & no calories! ;)
I altered the image just a bit to get what I wanted.
Easy to do!

Take a look at this sweet treat!
 A triple-decker ice-cream cone!
Cool & refreshing!
Mint Chocolate Chip on top, Strawberry in the center & finished off with Chocolate!
All done with Joi Art Water Colors.

You can see the original image off to the side- by:
The Colorado Craft Company-BB247- Sweetest Birthday Cone.
This is from their Big & Bold line!
I don't know about you, but I am LOVING these new Big & Bold images they're carrying!

I started by masking off the top portion in my Misti & then stamping.
Then masking off the lower portion & the top portion & stamping in my Misti,
& lastly, masking off the lower portion of the stamp & stamping it in my Misti,
 to get the triple-decker cone.

(Don't forget to take off that mask! I did that a few times! LOL)

I then created a mask for the whole triple-decker cone using Post It Tape, taping over the image & laying it on my Art O Graph Light Tracer Box, tracing around the image & fussy cutting it out--just the tape! ;)

Next, I used my Start Makers Make-Up Brushes & Oxide Inks:
Worn Lipstick
Dried Marigold
Squeezed Lemonade
Twisted Citron
Tumbled Glass
& Milled Lavender
& made my rainbow across the card front.

Before pulling off the mask, I spritzed my card with my Distress Sprayer & splattered it with Kuretake- Pearl Water Colors, for a shimmery confetti look.
 Then, take off your mask!
After removing your mask, I went over the lines of my image with a Faber Castell Pitt Pen.

If by chance, the color that you sponged/ brushed on isn't right up against the image perfectly, or leaves a white halo: I took my Nuvo Aquarelle Brush & lightly carried the color over to the image from what was a little off the edge of the image.

I added Glossy Accents to the cheery, & a very few Cartwrights- Moonshine Sequins to mimic the shimmer of the ice in the ice cream! ;)

For the inside, I took a strip of the rainbow & added it to the inside along with the inside sentiment- from the Colorado Craft Company-BB246-Sweet Friend Cupcake.

This card fit nicely in a business sized envelope!
A little larger than I normally do, but so well worth it!

I HOPE you like!

You Were Made To Shine!

Hi Blog Friends!

Here today with a fun card I made for our daughter while she is away at school,
always to encourage!
I always admire those who can cluster elements on cards.
I think it is one of my favorite techniques.
If you check SSS Blog for this challenge,
you'll be sure to find some work like this by their DT Members! ;)

I am entering this in
Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge:
Simon Says- Bright & Cheerful!
Found here:

Here is my "Bright & Cheerful" card!
You Were Made To Shine!

I used Simon Says Stamps image- Beautiful Flower 2 Stamp & Die Set,
& water colored it with Zig Clean Water Color Brushes.

For the background I used SB- Glimmer Plate Scattered Dot Pattern & SB-Aura Foil.

For the cluster of elements,
I used SB- Small Die of the Month- March 2018;
SB- APG Die of the Month Dec. 2019- "Softly Spoke n Flip & Gate Fold",
 & Paper Studio- Washi Tape.

For the sentiment I used,
Simon Says Stamp- Tiny Words of Faith & SU Ink
& I made a banner with my Cut Align & Fiskars Blade.

Lastly, I added 28 Lilac Lane Sequins with Golden Heavy Gel Matte & my Crystal Katana.

The inside:
I used the same Washi Tape I used on the front for the inside &
the sentiment inside is by I.O.-SS-1381-G Leave a Little Sparkle & SU Ink.

I HOPE you like!
Bright & Cheerful go a LOOONG WAY in being encouraging! ;)
And I LOVE this stamp set by SSS!
I don't know WHO doesn't!
