Life is Fragile....

Hi Blog Friends!

Here with a card for you today, that speaks to what we're all going through.
I hope you like & are encouraged by it.

I will be entering this in
Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge:
SSS Anything Goes
Found here:

Take a look:
I saw someone's card over on SCS that used these specific dies & I fell in love with them.
I'd been wanting to get some floral dies  & found them on SSS.
The flower dies are by Sizzix- 664163.
(There is another set that would go nicely with this one too, just so you know.)

I started first with my background.
Taping it down to an Epicurean Board with Blue Painters Tape & then wetting the Arteza 190 lb. WC Paper with my Silver Blk. Velvet 3/4" Flat Brush.
I then used Ecoline Liquid Water Colors- seen above.
(Dick Blick is having a sale on these right now,
& you can find a pack of 10 for a good price on Amazon!) ;)
I wanted to see what they did with just dropping it on the WC Paper.
One dropping it on from the dropper, & another splotch with just touching the dropper to the paper & letting it bleed out. I did have to add more water to help it spread a bit more.

Once dry, I die cut the panel with Ma Ma Elephant- Waverly-Framed Tags.

I die cut the flowers with the same type of WC Paper & used Prima Metallic Accents WC.
They were so shimmery, but they didn't give me the color saturation I wanted, so I went in later with Arteza Brush Markers, just a touch for a bit of depth.
If they got too stark, I used my Nuvo Aquarelle Brush to soften the lines.

I matted up the Waverly Panel & then put them on my card base with my Scotch ATG.
Next, I attached the flowers.
I already had played with them enough to know how I wanted to arrange them.

A piece of Scotch Perm. Mounting Tape behind the Black Eyed Susan & Golden Matte Med. for the rest.

The banner is done with SB- GOM-NOV19 (Banner Die), & the sentiment itself is by I.O.-C17276 (Yvonne Blair). I attached it with the Scotch Perm. Mounting Tape.

And a few Sequins by 28 Lilac Lane- LL502 Safari Sunrise.

I didn't forget the inside!

I did plenty of flower pieces from the Sizzix Set & had left over & added one to the inside.
The inside sentiment is from SSS-Tiny Words Faith-sss101964.

And lastly, a matching envelope with the WRMK- Envelope Board.

Hello Spring!

Hi Blog Friends!

I have a card for you today that just came to me one day,
when I was thinking about what to do for a couple of cards I needed to make.
Nice & CAS!

I will be entering my card in
SSS Wednesday Challenge:
SSS-Anything Goes!
Found here:

Take a look:
I used:
Memory Box- Twiggy Nest-94424 from Kraft Card Stock, & smudged it with Oxide Inks here & there & doubled it up, so the nest would be more "twiggy!"

Next, I stamped my little Robins- The Greetery- Robin & Wren Stamps & Dies,
using my Mini Misti & SU Inks.
To get the Robin Colors I used:
SU Colors: Going Gray-for the first two layers, & stamping it twice with Going Gray on the second layer stamp, Bordering Blue- on the third layer, Really Rust-for the breast, & Close to Cocoa-for the feet & beaks.

I don't know about you, but when I see Robins, I know Spring is coming.
Robins aren't colorful as some of the other birds we see,
but they are a welcome sight for me,
after winter.

For the little Robin Eggs I used:
Poppy Stamps- 2180 Folk Decorated Eggs & just brushed the edges with Oxide Inks- Broken China.

For the Ivy I used:
Rubber Necker- Large Ivy 5162-02D.
I added depth with Oxide Inks- Twisted Citron sponged on the edges, & Peeled Paint & Forest Moss, touched on like Water Color with an Aquarelle Brush.
I thought it would look more subtle this way.

The Tiny Flowers- Tiny Flowers from I.O.
I formed the ivy & the flowers with a McGill Stylus & a Foam Molding Mat.

A little Scotch Perm. Mounting Tape for dimension on the birds.

The inside:
The sentiment is from:
I.O.- DI3038 by Dina Kowal, & a little Robin.

The front sentiment is by:
SB-GOM-MAR29-Eggstra Special, along with Couture Creations Foil- C00726218.
A little Golden Matte Med, a Crystal Katana & 28 Lilac Lane-LL307- Spring Butterflies for my sequins.

I made two of these for a couple of special people in my life.

Hope you like!
I'm sure the warmer weather is sure to follow.
Stay well & enjoy the solitude.
Focus on what is important, & contemplate how you might even change your life for the better.
You can start now, & don't have to wait till this virus is over!

Faith Over Fear!

Hi Blog Friends!

I don't have a card for you this post.
I just finished watching a video that was sent to me & I wanted to pass it along to you.
I know what it's like to be afraid your whole world will turn upside down.
Are you afraid because of this virus?
Are you worried?
Do NOT be afraid!

Take a moment to watch the video below & be encouraged!
(Just hit the "watch special message" button.)
God is with us!

Spring Fawn

Hi Blog Friends!

I have a sweet card for you today.
Just scrolling through the companies over on SSS & discovered this company....

I was smitten when I saw this little fawn.
They have other sets that are on my list too....
Evidently, others were smitten with them too, as they were out of stock! LOL
We've still been putting out the feed blocks for the deer & they have been coming around....
This image reminds me of them.

Isn't this the SWEETEST IMAGE???
Craft Consortium- Little Fawn & Friends

I used: My Original Misti for stamping on Strathmore Bristol Smooth, with SU Ink,
& coloring this sweetheart with Zig Clean Brush Markers & a Nuvo Aquarelle Brush.

By the way, as SWEET as those little faces & eyes can be, those deer can be vicious!
Don't come between them & their food! LOL
I saw one deer come up to the block, she was bigger than the other mother & her little fawn, & she came in with a definite look of intimidation--her ears back & a stern look on her face.
The smaller mother deer backed off, & the larger deer even ran off the little fawn.
I've seen fights in the front yard between the larger deer & the fawns even running off other fawns.
They raise up on their hind legs & fight with their front hoofs!
There have been up to 15 deer in the front yard at times, after that feed block.
Some "wait in line," but others don't.
(No pictures as they would spook at just the slightest of sound or movement.)

So, I matted this up on MaMa Elephant- Waverly Framed Tags Die & matted that up on a card base- 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" that I stamped with- SSS-You Are-SSS102080, just for a bit of more color.

The Ivy is by: Rubber Necker- Small Ivy-5162-03D.
The little flowers- I.O.- Tiny Flowers (I keep some of these on hand in  a little snack bag.)

I touched up the fawn's spots with a White Signo Pen.

And a matching envelope, so the recipient knows there is something special inside!

HOPE you like!
Stay Well Friends!

Art Studio Glimmer

Hi Blog Friends!

An extra post this week....
I told you I've been crafting away here! ;)

I needed a couple of quick cards, so I used my
Spellbinders Glimmer of the Month - February 2020 Kit!
It's called: Art Studio Glimmer.
(This is actually the card they had in the packaging to show us how to use the kit.)

Take a look:
The first, a "Just for You" card.
For the sentiment, I used: SB- Glimmer Kit of the Month 2019- Everyday Sentiments.

For my second card:
I used the same kits on this one as the first card.

I used panels that I had already with Color Burst, perfect for these cards & so rich in color!
Each card base was scored with my Scor-Buddy & Teflon Bone Folder.

Quick & easy!

Stay well friends & enjoy this time of being still!

Hi Blog Friends!

I HOPE everyone who reads my post is doing well & staying healthy!
Our prayers are with our country, & the peoples of other countries as they battle this virus!
I have been busy crafting away here, & getting ready for Easter.

I thought I'd show you Vintage Artichoke today.
Such a fun image to play with!

Using Concord & 9th- Vintage Artichoke Stamp I stamped it on Strathmore 90lb. Student Grade WC Paper, with Ink On 3-Fade Out Ink; & then  water colored the image with Mission Gold Water Colors.

I ran it through my Platinum using SB- Hemstitch Square, matted it up & added a strip of vellum with my heat embossed sentiment, also from the same stamp set.

I added Trinity Stamps- Stage Light Confetti Mix for embellishments & a matching envelope!

Hope you like!

Just For You

Hi Blog Friends!

I thought I'd show you a card I made from one of the lesson we did on the
Coloring Challenge Road Trip On-Line Class.
I didn't create any cards with what I was coloring, I was too busy coloring! LOL
But, I had a lot of these blooms & I needed a card.
So I  thought it would be nice to use some of those blooms I colored on my card,
& see how a final piece would look!.
Check here to find all the details on how I did the coloring & the technique I used:
Just For You
I absolutely love how this came out!

The layers are die cut with The Greetery- Nordic Frames.
The flowers- The Greetery- Fleur Impressions Stamps & Dies.

I used Glad Press-n-Seal after I did my arrangement to get them just right on my card,
using EK Tools- Tweezers at times.

Here is a close up of the blooms.
You can see I added some dimensional tape too- Uline Foam Tape.

The sentiment is by The Greetery-With Love at Christmas.
I topped it all off with a touch of Spectrum Noir- Sparkle Glitter Brush Pen- Clear
to the centers of the blooms,  &  Lucy's Jewels- Clear Iridescent Mix.
I can never stop at just three.... LOL

The inside:

I had a left over bloom & some leaves, so I added it to the inside,
leaving plenty of space for a sweet little note.

The colors looks so vibrant & beautiful on the white base.
I am very pleased with how this came out!

Silvery Snowflake

Hi Blog Friends!

Today I thought I'd show you a little card I did.
Spring is on it's way, but we've still been getting snow, Brrr!!!
I just wanted a quick wintery card.

I will be entering this card in the
Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge:
Anything Goes
Found here:

Take a look:
Silvery Snowflake
Very Simply done.....
If I remember right, as this card has been long gone for a bit now, the card is 4" x 4", or close to it!

I started with SB- GLP-032 Elegant Circle & used the center Foiling Die
along with SB-Foil- Metallic Holographic Foil, & the Glimmer Machine.

Next up, I used SB-S5-379 Yule Tide Snowflakes, die cutting it on Grafix Vellum & Neenah Vellum & lastly from Paper Studio- Glittered Card Stock..

I scored the front of the card base & attached the snowflakes.
Topping it off with a Rhinestone I had in my stash from ages ago!

Simple & quick today!
